Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Registration with the Medical Council of Sri Lanka as a Pharmacist.
• Previous experience in a Government Hospital, an institution under the Ministry of Health & Mass Media, or a recognized private healthcare institution will be considered an added qualification.
• Applicants should be below 35 years of age.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Maintain pharmaceutical stock and inventory records.
• Provide medication counselling and guidance to patients.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.
• Monitor the safe storage and handling of medicines.
• Maintain accurate dispensing and pharmaceutical documentation.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support quality assurance and patient safety initiatives within the pharmacy.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: Rs. 67,470 – 127,260 per month.
• Salary increments:
  • 10 × Rs. 1,000
  • 11 × Rs. 1,490
  • 10 × Rs. 1,650
  • 10 × Rs. 1,690
• Salaries will be paid in accordance with Schedule 02 of Management Services Circular No. 08/2025.
