Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should satisfy either of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• A Degree in Commerce, Accountancy, Business Management, or Business Administration recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Minimum one (01) year of post-qualifying experience in a Public Service, Corporation, Statutory Board, Institution, or a reputed Private Institution after obtaining the degree.

OR

Option 2

• Passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
• Minimum one (01) year of relevant work experience.

Internal Candidates

Applicants should satisfy either of the following:

• Possess the qualifications required for external candidates.

OR

• Completion of five (05) years of satisfactory service in a Junior Manager (JM) category post relevant to the subject area.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits across organizational departments and operational units.
• Evaluate internal control systems and financial procedures.
• Review accounting records and financial transactions for compliance.
• Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and financial standards.
• Assist management in strengthening governance and risk management processes.
• Perform additional audit assignments as directed by management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting, auditing, and financial management.
• Understanding of internal control systems and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical and investigative abilities.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: MM 1-1 – 2025
• Salary Range: Rs. 91,690 – 168,240
• Salary Increments: 10 × 2,480 – 15 × 3,450
• Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800
• Professional Allowance: Rs. 25,000
• Telephone Allowance: Rs. 2,000
• Other Government-approved allowances.
• Starting Salary for 2026: Rs. 81,710.
