The Sugathadasa National Sports Complex Authority is the premier institution managing Sri Lanka’s largest and most important sports complex system. Operating under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the organization is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing national sports facilities while promoting sports excellence and infrastructure development across the country.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Management, Human Resources Management, Commerce, or a related field recognized by the UGC
• A Postgraduate Degree in a relevant subject OR Associate Membership of a recognized Chartered Professional Institute
• Minimum 15 years of managerial-level experience in government, statutory boards, corporations, or reputed private institutions

Internal Applicants:

• Minimum 5 years of satisfactory service in Grade I (MM 1-3) in a relevant field
• Proven leadership in managing teams and resources in multi-functional environments

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management and administration of the sports complex authority
• Strategic planning for sports facility development and operations
• Supervision of human and physical resource management
• Ensuring efficient utilization of national sports infrastructure
• Coordination with government and sports institutions
• Implementation of policies and performance monitoring systems
• Leadership in organizing national and international sports events

• Strong leadership and organizational management abilities
• Experience in large-scale facility or institutional management
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
• Strategic planning and operational management skills
• High ethical standards and professional integrity

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: HM 1-1 – Rs. 140,640 – 202,140
• Salary Structure: As per Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 with applicable government allowances

Method of Selection
