The Bureau of Rehabilitation is a government institution responsible for implementing rehabilitation programmes and promoting the successful reintegration of rehabilitees into society. The Bureau operates under a governing Board that oversees policy implementation, governance, and institutional management across rehabilitation centres in Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
• Be between 22 and 45 years of age (maximum age limit does not apply to eligible internal applicants).
• Hold a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Law or another relevant field from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Internal applicants should possess the same qualifications required for external applicants.
• Be physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
• Maintain excellent character and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all official correspondence and administrative affairs of the Board.
• Maintain the Board Secretariat and all official records.
• Organize Board meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and maintain meeting documentation.
• Report on the implementation of Board decisions and resolutions.
• Advise and assist the Board in complying with relevant Acts, regulations, government directives, and circulars.
• Serve as the Secretary to the Audit and Management Committee.
• Ensure administrative activities comply with the Establishments Code, Financial Regulations, Procurement Guidelines, Human Resource policies, and other applicable government instructions.

Salary & Benefits

• Permanent Government Salary Scale: JM 1-1 – 2025
• Basic Salary:
  • LKR 65,633.00 (2026)
  • LKR 72,650.00 (2027)
• Monthly Cost of Living Allowance: LKR 17,800
• Annual government salary increments as applicable.
