Physical Training Instructor – Bureau of Rehabilitation
Position
Physical Training Instructor (MA 2-2) – Bureau of Rehabilitation.
Main Purpose of the Post
The Physical Training Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting physical training, fitness development, sports activities, and rehabilitation-oriented physical programs for beneficiaries of the Bureau of Rehabilitation. The role also includes maintaining discipline, promoting physical well-being, and supporting rehabilitation through structured physical education and recreational activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily physical training sessions.
- Organize sports meets, fitness programs, and recreational activities.
- Assess and monitor the physical fitness of trainees.
- Guide participants in proper exercise techniques and injury prevention.
- Maintain discipline and encourage teamwork during training activities.
- Prepare training schedules and maintain attendance and performance records.
- Assist in organizing special events, competitions, and outdoor activities.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of sports equipment and training facilities.
- Work closely with rehabilitation officers and other staff to support rehabilitation objectives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Bureau of Rehabilitation.
Salary Scale
MA 2-2 (2016 Salary Scale)
- Rs. 30,310 – 52,360
Current salary by grade:
- Grade III: Rs. 30,310
- Grade II: Rs. 33,660
- Grade I: Rs. 38,870
Educational Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A recognized qualification in Physical Education, Sports Science, Physical Training, or an equivalent field accepted by the Government.
- Professional training relevant to physical instruction.
- Good physical fitness and medical fitness.
- Good character and suitability for Government service.
- Any additional qualifications specified in the approved Scheme of Recruitment.

- Knowledge of sports coaching and fitness training.
- Ability to conduct physical assessments.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork and discipline management.

Recruitment Method
Recruitment is carried out according to the approved Government Scheme of Recruitment and may include:
- Verification of educational and professional qualifications.
- Practical assessment of physical training abilities.
- Structured interview.
- Medical fitness assessment.
- Final selection based on merit.
Promotion
Promotion opportunities are available through:
- Grade III → Grade II
- Grade II → Grade I
Promotions are based on satisfactory performance, completion of the required service period, successful completion of prescribed training, and fulfillment of the conditions in the approved Scheme of Recruitment.
The Physical Training Instructor plays an important role in improving the physical fitness, discipline, confidence, and overall rehabilitation of beneficiaries through structured physical education and sports programs conducted by the Bureau of Rehabilitation.
