Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should possess either of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Degree in Management, Commerce, Accountancy, Finance, or another relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field in a Corporation, Board, or reputed Statutory Institution.

OR

Option 2

• Passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field in a Corporation, Board, or reputed Statutory Institution.

Internal Candidates

Applicants should possess either:

• The qualifications required for external candidates.

OR

• Minimum 5 years of satisfactory service as an Audit Assistant – Grade II in the Management Assistant – Technological (MA 2-1) category.

General Requirements

• Age should be 22 to 45 years.
• Upper age limit does not apply to eligible internal candidates.
• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties.
• Must possess excellent moral character.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting internal audits.
• Examine financial records and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Identify risks and recommend control improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and documentation.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assist management in strengthening internal controls.
• Perform other audit and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Category: JM 1-1
• Basic Salary: Rs. 65,633 per month.
• Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800 per month.
