Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should possess:

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in one sitting with six subjects, including four credit passes, which must include:
  • Sinhala or Tamil
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
• Passed three subjects (excluding the General Paper) at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination.

Internal Candidates

Applicants should:

• Belong to the categories of Primary Level-Skilled, Primary Level-Semiskilled, or Primary Level-Unskilled employees.
• Have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with four credit passes, including Sinhala/Tamil, English (where applicable), and Mathematics.
• Have completed a minimum of five (05) years of satisfactory permanent service in the eligible employee category.

General Requirements

• Applicants should be 18 to 45 years of age.
• The upper age limit does not apply to eligible internal candidates.
• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post.
• Must possess excellent moral character.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and issue stock items accurately.
• Maintain inventory records and stock registers.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
• Prepare inventory reports and documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Comply with organizational inventory control procedures.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Category: MA 1-2.
• Basic Salary: Rs. 43,312 per month.
• Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800 per month.
