Available Vacancies – Wayamba University 2026

🔹 1. Finance Manager – PS 3

Number of Vacancies: 01

Salary Level: PS-3 (As per Management Services Circular No. 01/2019 and amendments)

Basic Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
   • A Postgraduate qualification from a recognized professional institute
   • At least 05 years post-qualifying experience at managerial level

OR

2. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field (UGC recognized or equivalent)
   • A Postgraduate professional qualification
   • At least 03 years post-qualifying experience at managerial level

OR

3. Class I Officer of a Government Institution (or similar status)
   • At least 05 years experience in the relevant field

🔹 2. Project Engineer – PS 4

Number of Vacancies: 01

Salary Level: PS-4

Basic Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (UGC recognized or equivalent)
   • A Postgraduate / Professional qualification
   • Minimum 03 years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field

OR

2. Class II Officer or above in a Government Institution
   • At least 03 years experience in Class III or higher

🔹 3. Project Officer – PS 6

Number of Vacancies: 02

Salary Level: PS-6

Basic Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (UGC recognized or equivalent)
   • Associate membership of a recognized professional institute

OR

2. NVQ Level 5 or above issued by a TVEC-recognized institution
   • At least 03 years post-qualification experience

OR

3. NVQ Level 6 or above
   • At least 01 year post-qualification experience

General Conditions & Benefits

• Appointments are on a contract basis
• Salaries and allowances are paid as per Management Services Circular No. 01/2019
• Selected candidates will be entitled to:
  • EPF: 8% employee + 12% employer
  • ETF: 3% employer contribution
• Performance-based contract extensions may be granted
• Applicants must be physically and mentally fit
• Maximum age limit: 64 years

Selection Procedure

• Applications will be screened based on qualifications and experience
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews
• Final selection will be made by the Wayamba University selection committee
