🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must be a Supreme Court Lawyer (Attorney-at-Law) of Sri Lanka.
Must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 03 years of experience in court proceedings after being sworn in as a Supreme Court Lawyer

Minimum 03 years of experience providing legal services in:
- A public sector institution
- A statutory body
- A recognized private institution

This vacancy is ideal for legal professionals with practical litigation experience and institutional legal advisory exposure.

🏛️ Scope of Work

Selected Legal Officers will be responsible for:

Appearing before all courts, tribunals, arbitration boards, commissions, and statutory bodies on behalf of NHDA.
Handling cases filed against the Authority and cases filed by the Authority.
Conducting legal proceedings and representing the NHDA as a registered lawyer.
Drafting legal documents and deeds.
Assisting in disciplinary inquiries.
Providing legal advice and other related legal services.

This role involves full legal representation and advisory responsibilities within the housing development sector.

💰 Emoluments

Payments will be made according to Government Procurement Guidelines.
Applicants must mention the expected monthly professional fee in their application.
This is a service-based contractual engagement, not a permanent government appointment.

📋 Nature of Employment

Contract period: One year
Engagement is based on service provision under procurement method.
Selection will be conducted through an interview process as per government procurement regulations.
