Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes, in not more than two sittings.

AND

Applicants should satisfy one of the following requirements:

• Hold a proficiency certificate of not less than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Plumbing, Masonry, Painting, Carpentry, Electrical Installation, Welding, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

OR

• Have working experience in construction, maintenance, and related skilled service work in the relevant trade, together with demonstrated knowledge of building upkeep and related technical operations.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years on the closing date of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work for University buildings and infrastructure.
• Assist with plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, welding, or air-conditioning maintenance as required.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support renovation and repair projects across the University.
• Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain records of completed maintenance work when required.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the University.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: U-PL 1 (III): Rs. 42,775 – 164,150; Rs. 49,975 per month (Effective from 01.01.2027).
