Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 or higher Proficiency Certificate in Carpentry.
• The qualification should be issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and be relevant to the duties of the post.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain wooden furniture, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Carry out carpentry work for University buildings and facilities.
• Install and replace wooden fittings and partitions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on furniture and wooden structures.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and woodworking machinery.
• Read and interpret basic drawings and measurements.
• Maintain workshop safety and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Perform other carpentry-related duties assigned by the University.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: UPL 3 (III): Rs. 48,005 – 164,900; Rs. 55,845 p.m. (Effective from 01.01.2027).
