Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 or higher Proficiency Certificate in Machining Technology.
• The qualification should be issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and be relevant to the duties of the post.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and other workshop equipment.
• Manufacture and repair mechanical components according to technical specifications.
• Perform precision machining, cutting, shaping, and finishing operations.
• Inspect machined parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Carry out routine maintenance of machine tools and workshop equipment.
• Maintain workshop tools, machinery, and production records.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures in the workshop.
• Perform other machining and technical duties assigned by the University.

• Salary Scale: UPL 3 (III): Rs. 48,005 – 164,900; Rs. 55,845 p.m. (Effective from 01.01.2027).
