Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes, in not more than two sittings.
• Hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 or 3 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), relevant to the duties of the post.

OR

Option 2

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes, in not more than two sittings.
• Have one (01) year of work experience in a relevant field with industrial skills.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years on the closing date of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the University’s plant nursery.
• Propagate and cultivate trees, shrubs, flowers, and ornamental plants.
• Water, fertilize, prune, and care for nursery plants.
• Prepare soil, seedbeds, and planting materials.
• Monitor plant health and control pests and diseases.
• Maintain nursery tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with campus landscaping and gardening projects.
• Perform other nursery-related duties assigned by the University.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: U-PL 2 (III): Rs. 44,575 – 164,900; Rs. 52,415 per month (Effective from 01.01.2027).
