Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes, in not more than two sittings.

AND

• Hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 or 3 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), relevant to the duties of the post.

OR

Option 2

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes, in not more than two sittings.

AND

• Have one (01) year of work experience in a relevant field with industrial skills.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years on the closing date of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, flower beds, gardens, and landscaped areas throughout the University.
• Plant, water, prune, weed, and fertilize trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants.
• Prepare soil and planting areas for seasonal gardening activities.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Monitor plant health and assist in controlling pests and diseases.
• Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules.
• Keep outdoor areas clean, attractive, and well maintained.
• Perform other gardening and landscaping duties assigned by the University.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: U-PL 1 (III): Rs. 42,775 – 164,150; Rs. 49,975 per month (Effective from 01.01.2027).
