The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development is calling applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens (including Government, Semi-Government officers and external candidates) for the position of Management Assistant under major national infrastructure development projects. This appointment is made under the provisions of Management Services Circular No. 02/2026.

Company Overview

The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development is responsible for implementing large-scale national infrastructure development projects such as highways, road improvements, and urban connectivity programs. Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must satisfy the Management Assistant (MN-2 2025 category) requirements:

• G.C.E. (O/L) examination with 6 subjects including 4 credit passes (including Language and Mathematics) in one sitting
• AND G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting
• Relevant work experience will be an advantage
• Ability to work in government administrative and project environments

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical support for project activities
• Maintain official records and documentation
• Assist in data entry, filing, and reporting tasks
• Support coordination between project teams and government departments
• Handle correspondence and office communication duties
• Assist in general office management tasks related to the project

Required Skills

• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Basic computer literacy and documentation handling
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Teamwork and coordination ability
