Job Overview

The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) – Lake House is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Head of IT. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the organization’s IT strategy, managing technology infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, leading digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Master’s Degree in:
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Computer Science & Networking
  • Or a related field
• Minimum three (03) years of relevant managerial experience.

OR

Option 2

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Computer Science & Networking
  • Or a related field
• Minimum six (06) years of relevant managerial experience.

OR

Option 3

• Professional Membership from the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL).
• Minimum six (06) years of relevant managerial experience.

OR

Option 4

• NVQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum eight (08) years of relevant managerial experience.

Additional Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of:
  • IT Infrastructure
  • Cyber Security
  • Cisco Technologies
  • Emerging Technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be less than 55 years of age on the closing date of applications.

• Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team to foster innovation and operational excellence.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data storage systems.
• Implement robust cybersecurity measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to improve business efficiency.
• Manage IT budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize technology investments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Lead digitalization projects and process automation initiatives across the organization.
