Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.
• Minimum 03 years of relevant experience in an Executive or above position.

OR

Option 2

• Professional qualification from the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) or another recognized professional qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 03 years of relevant experience in an Executive or above position.

OR

• Part-qualified in a recognized professional qualification with a minimum of 06 years of relevant experience in an executive position.

OR

Option 3

• HND, NDT, or an equivalent Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 04 years of relevant experience in an Executive or above position.

Additional Requirements

• Prior experience in maintenance of air-conditioning systems will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to tender and procurement procedures, cost control, and budgeting.
• Sound knowledge of:
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • Motor control systems
  • Electrical installations
  • Transformers
  • Generators
  • Preventive maintenance
• Familiarity with:
  • PLC systems
  • Industrial automation
  • Electrical control panels
  • Troubleshooting techniques

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical systems to ensure timely rectification.
• Assist in carrying out preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Support electrical upgrading and modernization projects.
• Coordinate technical activities related to facility maintenance with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain reliable operation of electrical infrastructure and equipment.
• Assist in improving maintenance efficiency and system reliability.
