The National Livestock Development Board (NLDB) is a government institution operating under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation. Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, or Plantation Management from a recognized university.
• Minimum of one (01) year of post-qualifying experience in a reputed public or private sector farm or estate.
• Applicants should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age.
• (The upper age limit is not applicable to internal candidates.)
• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and serve anywhere in the island.
• Should possess excellent character.
• Working knowledge of English will be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of livestock and agricultural farms.
• Supervise livestock production and farm management activities.
• Monitor farm resources and ensure efficient utilization.
• Support the implementation of livestock development programmes.
• Maintain farm records and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural, livestock, and workplace safety standards.
• Coordinate with farm staff to achieve production targets.
• Assist in improving farm productivity and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by the management.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale:

• MM 1-1-2025: Rs. 91,690 – 168,240
