Motor Vehicle Examiner – Grade III

This position belongs to the Sri Lanka Technical Service and involves inspecting vehicles, testing driving skills, and ensuring compliance with motor vehicle regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Motor Vehicle Examiners are responsible for:
- Conducting driving tests for issuing driving licenses
- Inspecting vehicles for registration and roadworthiness

Educational Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
GCE Advanced Level
- Passed GCE A/L in Science, Mathematics, or Technology stream
- At least two subjects related to the field
GCE Ordinary Level
- Passed six subjects in one sitting
- Must include credit passes for:
- Sinhala / Tamil / English
- Mathematics
- Science
- One additional subject.
Professional Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following technical qualifications:
- National Technical Diploma (Automotive Mechanisms) – University of Moratuwa / Hardy Institute
- National Diploma in Engineering Science – NAITA
- Engineering Diploma from recognized institutions
- NVQ Level 6 in Automotive Mechanics
- Other equivalent technical qualifications recognized by TVEC.
Experience Requirement
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in the field of automotive mechanics
The experience should be obtained in:
- Registered motor garages
- Government institutions
- Corporations or statutory bodies
The organization must also provide EPF and ETF contributions.
Additional Requirements

- Be physically and mentally fit
