Position Details

Position: Executive – MRP

The Executive – MRP will oversee Medical Review Process (MRP) and DTA underwriting operations, ensure timely and accurate decision-making, prepare operational reports, support process improvements, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and business partners.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in DTA Operations or a related insurance operations role.
• Degree or Diploma in Insurance or a related discipline is preferred.
• Part qualification in AIII/CII (SLII) or ACII (UK) will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and accountable approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Medical Review Process (MRP) and DTA underwriting activities while ensuring timely and accurate decisions.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day DTA operations while maintaining service standards.
• Lead and support the team to achieve productivity and operational excellence targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare Management Information (MI) reports and other operational reports.
• Support system enhancements, testing activities, and continuous process improvements.
• Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Handle assigned operational tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
