Job Overview

The Department of Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management, under the Ministry of Environment, has invited applications for the post of Coast Conservation Guard Grade III under the Management Assistant Non-Technical – Group 2 Service Category. This is a limited recruitment for 09 permanent vacancies available in the Department’s Northern and Eastern Regional Offices.

Duty Locations

Successful candidates will be attached to the following Regional Offices:

• Jaffna Regional Office – 03 Vacancies
• Trincomalee Regional Office – 02 Vacancies
• Ampara Regional Office – 02 Vacancies
• Batticaloa Regional Office – 02 Vacancies

The Director General reserves the right to determine or change the regional office assignment based on departmental requirements.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination in one sitting.
• Passed 06 subjects with 02 Distinction Passes, including:
  • Sinhala / Tamil / English Language
  • Mathematics

Experience Requirements

Candidates must:

• Be serving in a Primary Grade Non-Technical or Semi Technical permanent post within the Department.
• Have completed 05 years of permanent and active service by the closing date.
• Have been confirmed in the relevant appointment.

Periods served in temporary, casual, training, or pre-permanent appointments will not be counted towards the required five years of service.

Other Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be physically and mentally fit to perform duties.
• Be willing to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
• Be of excellent character.
• Have completed a satisfactory service period with earned salary increments and satisfactory performance during the previous five years.

Age Limit: Not applicable.

Professional Qualifications: Not required.

Selection Procedure

Eligible applicants will be selected through a Structured Interview.

Marks Allocation

Salary & Benefits

Monthly Salary Scale

Rs. 45,230 – 78,360

Additional benefits include:

• Required to pass the First Efficiency Bar Examination within three years of appointment.
