Job Summary

Sri Lanka Telecom (Services) Limited is seeking a dynamic, self-driven individual with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will support 24×7 IPTV operations, maintain IPTV systems, monitor broadcasting services, and provide technical assistance to customers and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing 24×7 IPTV/OTT technical support to corporate customers and call centers.
• Handling customer faults and inquiries while providing technical support to field staff.
• Supporting the periodic maintenance of TVRO, compression systems, and other IPTV-related platforms.
• Assisting IPTV provisioning activities for consumer and corporate customers while ensuring SLA targets are achieved.
• Providing day-to-day technical support for field staff in resolving end-user issues.
• Monitoring TV channels to ensure:
  • Picture quality
  • Audio quality
  • Channel scheduling
  • Channel availability and status
• Performing roster-based duties, including night shifts, as part of the 24×7 technical operations team.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• NVQ Level 4 or an equivalent qualification in:
  • Electronics & Communication
  • Computer Systems
  • Or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar role within IPTV or Satellite HeadEnd Operations.

Technical Skills Required

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• IP Networking concepts
  • TCP/IP
  • UDP
  • Multicast
  • Unicast
  • VLANs
  • Bandwidth Management
• System monitoring tools
• IPTV/OTT technologies
• Technical troubleshooting
• Customer support operations

Experience or knowledge in:

• AV Streaming
