Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security from a recognized university OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management from a recognized university.

• Must hold at least one of the following professional certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).

• Information Security Management Systems Auditor / Lead Auditor (ISO 27001) credentials.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Information Security with a key focus on Information Security Policy and Program Management in a reputed organization (experience in a finance institution is preferred).

• Prior experience in handling Information Security Policy and Governance would be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update the company’s IT security policy periodically.

• Review existing IT-related policies and procedures to identify any operational gaps, ensuring such gaps are addressed by liaising directly with respective stakeholders.

• Review all software and systems applications used by the company for any potential Information Security issues.

• Provide relevant Information Security awareness training sessions to all key staff members within the organization.

• Monitor the stability and security of the IT infrastructure by performing routine ad hoc and regular testing or verifications.

• Escalate IT incidents promptly to management with a detailed risk analysis along with proposed corrective measures for the betterment of the company.

• Ensure all regulatory frameworks introduced by the regulator are formally adopted by the company and fully implemented within the stipulated timeframes.
