Sri Lanka Foundation is inviting applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Director General (CEO).

Position Details

Director General (CEO)

• Grade: HM 2-1-2025

• Employment Type: Permanent

Educational Qualifications

Option 1

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Science
  • Agriculture
  • Business Administration
  • Or any other relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

AND

• Postgraduate Degree in relevant field
  OR
• Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution in Management

AND

• Minimum 20 years’ managerial experience
• Out of which 05 years should be at Senior Managerial Level
• Proven track record in a Corporation, Board, or reputed Mercantile Establishment after obtaining first degree.

Option 2

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field recognized by UGC

AND

• PhD Degree in:
  • Science
  • Agriculture
  • Business Administration
  • Or other relevant field

AND

• Minimum five (05) years’ experience at Senior Managerial Level
• Proven management track record in a Corporation, Board, or reputed Mercantile Establishment after obtaining first degree.

Internal Candidates

Internal applicants should possess:

• Minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in a Senior Manager Category (HM 1-1)

AND

• Proven leadership ability to direct multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in efficient management of human and other resources.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be between 35 and 55 years of age
• Upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

Salary Scale

• Salary Scale: HM 2-1-2025
• Rs. 161,140 – 219,340/- per month
• Salary in accordance with Management Services Circular 01/2025.

Nature of Appointment

• Permanent appointment
• Entitled to:
  • Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF)
  • Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF).

Key Responsibilities

The Director General (CEO) will:

• Serve as the highest Executive Officer of the Institution
• Be responsible for all administrative and financial affairs
• Exercise powers delegated by the Board of Directors
• Provide leadership and guidance to institutional staff
• Promote official achievements and technology transfer.

Recruitment Procedure

Selection will be based on:

• Structured Interview conducted by an appointed panel
• Final appointments made according to merit order at the interview.
