University of Kelaniya is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of Tractor Operator (Grade III) on permanent basis.

Position Details

Tractor Operator (Grade III)

• Employment Type: Permanent

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six (06) subjects
• At least two (02) credit passes
• Qualifications obtained in not more than two sittings

AND

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 proficiency certificate relevant to the Tractor Operator post
• Certificate should be issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

Option 2

• Passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six (06) subjects
• At least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings

AND

• Minimum one (01) year working experience in a relevant field with industrial skills.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be between 18 and 45 years of age.

General Requirements

Every applicant should:

• Be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• Be physically and mentally fit to discharge duties efficiently
• Possess excellent moral character.

Salary Scale

• UPL 2(III)
• Rs. 44,575 – 52,415/- per month

Approximate Gross Monthly Salary

• Approximately Rs. 76,674/- inclusive of allowances.

Method of Recruitment

Selection will be based on:

• Structured Interview
  AND
• Trade Test.
