The University of Kelaniya is inviting applications from qualified individuals who have served in the Tri-Forces or Department of Police for the post of Security Inspector (Grade II). This role is essential for maintaining the safety and security protocols of the university premises.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualification criteria:

• Professional Background: Must have served in the Tri-Forces or Department of Police.

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Should have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects with 05 credit passes in not more than two sittings. Subjects must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature, and Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.

  • OR: Be employees of the University Grants Commission (UGC) or a Higher Education Institute with five (05) years of satisfactory service after passing the G.C.E. (O/L) in six (06) subjects in not more than three sittings with required subjects.

• Experience: Must have completed a satisfactory service period of not less than five (05) years in the Police, Tri-Forces, UGC, or a Higher Education Institute in a security service role, or in a reputed Security Service Institution.

• Physical Standards: * Height: Not less than 5ft 4 inches.

  • Chest: Not less than 34 inches (unexpanded).

• Additional Requirements: Should have actively participated in sports.

General Criteria:

• Age: Should be not more than 45 years.

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

• Character: Must have an excellent moral character.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: Rs. 64,213.00 (Cost of Living Allowance is included in this salary).

• Benefits: Entitlement to University Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund.
