Job Overview

The University of Kelaniya is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of Security Guard (Grade III) on a contract basis for vacancies existing at the university.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualification criteria:

• Educational Qualifications: Should have passed in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination.

• Age: Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

• Citizenship: Should be citizens of Sri Lanka.

• Physical Fitness: Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge duties entrusted to the post and to serve in any part of the island.

• Moral Character: Should have an excellent moral character.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: Rs. 58,563.00 (Cost of Living Allowance is included in this salary).

• Period: One year.

• Benefits: Entitlement to University Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund.

• Selection: By an interview.

1. Submission: Application forms should be duly perfected and sent along with copies of certificates to prove qualifications.

2. Required Documents: Include photocopies of letter pertaining to legally discharging from service (if applicable), National Identity Card, Residence Certificate issued by the Grama Niladhari, and two (02) character certificates.

3. Character Certificates: One should have been issued by the Chief Incumbent of the Buddhist Temple where the applicant resides.

4. Postal Address: Send by registered post addressed to: Senior Assistant Registrar / Establishment Non-Academic Division, University of Kelaniya.
