Available Position
Director (Finance)
- Service Category: Senior Manager – HM 1-1

This position is responsible for managing financial operations, budgeting, accounting, and financial policy implementation within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification paths:
Option 1
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
OR
- Professional membership in one of the following:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA – UK)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – UK)
AND
- A Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field
AND
- Minimum 13 years of managerial experience in finance-related positions in:
- Public sector organizations
- State corporations
- Statutory boards
- Government departments
- Recognized private institutions.
Option 2
Applicants may also qualify if they have:
- Full membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
AND
- Minimum 13 years of managerial experience in the relevant field.
These qualifications apply to external applicants.
Internal Applicant Eligibility
Internal candidates must:
- Meet the qualifications mentioned above
OR - Have completed 3 years of satisfactory service in Grade I of the Middle Management Service (MM) category at the NDDCB.
Age Limit
Applicants must be:
- Not less than 35 years
- Not more than 55 years
(The maximum age limit does not apply to internal candidates.)
Salary and Benefits
Salary Scale
HM 1-1 (Management Services Circular No. 01/2025)
💰 Rs. 140,640 – 202,140 per month
Additional benefits include:

- Communication allowance
- Professional allowance
These benefits are provided according to government circulars.
