The Central Bank is seeking candidates who can ensure the safety and protection of CBSL staff, visitors, assets, and facilities.
Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within CBSL premises.
Key duties include:
- Ensuring a secure and protective working environment for employees
- Safeguarding CBSL employees, visitors, and properties
- Protecting assets and infrastructure from potential threats

Minimum Educational Qualification
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 6 passes in the GCE (O/L) examination in one sitting

Physical Requirements
Applicants must meet the following physical standards:
Height
- Male: 167.5 cm (5’6″) or above
- Female: 162.5 cm (5’4″) or above
Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Male: Between 20 – 27
- Female: Between 17 – 25
Chest Measurement (Male)
- Minimum 81.3 cm (32 inches)
Candidates must also be medically, physically, and psychologically fit to perform duties anywhere in the country.

Experience Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 22 years of service (male) or 15 years of service (female) in the Sri Lanka Armed Forces or the Special Task Force (STF) of the Sri Lanka Police
- An unblemished and uninterrupted service record
Applicants must also hold the rank of:
- Sergeant / Petty Officer or above in the Army, Navy, or Air Force
- Sergeant or above in the STF of Sri Lanka Police.
Specializations in areas such as the following will be an advantage:

- Explosives
- Provost
- Weapons
- Physical Training Instructor
- Fire & Safety

Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
- All-inclusive monthly allowance: Rs. 100,000
- EPF and ETF contributions
- Contract employment up to 3 years
Contracts will initially be signed for one year and may be renewed annually based on performance.
However, this position will not be absorbed into the permanent cadre of CBSL.
