Job Description
The Trainee Banking Assistant role at Sampath Bank is a structured entry-level position designed to develop future banking professionals. Selected candidates will undergo comprehensive training while supporting branch and banking operations, customer service, and administrative functions in a professional banking environment.

Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirement
- Below 23 years (Trainee Staff Assistant I)
- Below 25 years (Trainee Staff Assistant II)
Educational Qualifications – Trainee Staff Assistant I
- Minimum three (03) simple passes at G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) in one sitting
(excluding General English)
OR - Passed Edexcel or Cambridge (A/L) with a minimum of three (03) “D” passes in one sitting
AND
- Minimum five (05) credit passes at G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) in one sitting, including Mathematics
- Credit pass for English at G.C.E. O/L (first sitting)
OR - Passed Edexcel or Cambridge (O/L) with five (05) “C” passes including Mathematics, with a minimum “C” pass for English in not more than two sittings
Educational Qualifications – Trainee Staff Assistant II
- Minimum three (03) simple passes at G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) in one sitting
(excluding General English)
OR - Passed Edexcel or Cambridge (A/L) with a minimum of three (03) “D” passes in one sitting
AND
- Minimum five (05) credit passes at G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) in one sitting, including Mathematics
- Credit pass for English at G.C.E. O/L (first sitting)
OR - Passed Edexcel or Cambridge (O/L) with five (05) “C” passes including Mathematics, with a minimum “C” pass for English in not more than two sittings
AND
- Completion of CBF / IABF / DBF (recognized banking qualifications)
