The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the position of Technical Officer. Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications

• Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with four (04) Credit Passes.
• Passed all subjects of the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination in the Science Stream (excluding the Common General Paper).
• Obtained the required qualifications for admission to a tertiary education programme.

Technical Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• A qualification relevant to the duties of the post with NVQ Level 5 or above, recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

OR

• A National Diploma in:
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Telecommunication Engineering
  • Engineering Science
  • NDT
  • HNDE
  • NDES
  • Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL)

OR

• City & Guilds (C&G) Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.

Age Limit

• Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years of age.
• The upper age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of broadcasting equipment.
• Support television transmission and studio technical operations.
• Troubleshoot electronic and telecommunication systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of broadcasting equipment.
• Ensure uninterrupted technical support for television production and broadcasting.
• Maintain technical records and reports.
• Follow safety procedures and technical standards.
• Perform other technical duties assigned by the Corporation.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale (MA 2-3 – 2025): Rs. 52,700 – 800 × 10 – 1,190 × 11 – 1,320 × 10 – 1,350 × 10 – Rs. 100,490 per month.
• Cost of Living Allowance (Rs. 17,800).
• Other allowances approved by the Corporation.
• Medical insurance coverage for the officer and family members.

• Permanent employment upon successful completion of the training programme.
