Qualifications & Experience

External Applicants

• Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings, including credit passes for two (02) subjects.
• Possess a Proficiency Certificate of not less than NVQ Level 4 issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) relevant to Stage Lighting Technician duties.

Internal Applicants

Applicants should satisfy either of the following:

• Have completed five (05) years of service in the Primary Semi Skilled (PL-2) or Primary Non-Skilled (PL-1) service category and have passed the relevant trade test with an NVQ Level 4 qualification compatible with the duties of the post.

OR

• Hold a recognized NVQ Level 4 Proficiency Certificate in Stage Lighting Technology issued by a TVEC-recognized Technical or Vocational Training Institute.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain stage lighting equipment.
• Set up lighting systems for theatrical performances and cultural events.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of lighting equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair stage lighting faults.
• Ensure safe operation of lighting systems during productions.
• Coordinate with production teams to deliver effective stage lighting.
• Maintain lighting equipment according to technical and safety standards.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: Rs. 43,280 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 = Rs. 67,040.
• Initial recruitment salary: Rs. 40,834 according to government recruitment procedures.
• Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800.
• Permanent government employment.
• Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) benefits.
• Other government-approved allowances applicable to the post.
