The Tower Hall Theatre Foundation is a government institution under the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting Sri Lanka’s performing arts while supporting theatre productions, cultural events, and artistes throughout the country.
Qualifications & Experience
External Applicants
- Passed six (06) subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings, including credit passes for two (02) subjects.
- Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
- Minimum three (03) years of heavy vehicle driving experience after obtaining the driving licence.
Internal Applicants
- Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
- Minimum three (03) years of heavy vehicle driving experience after obtaining the licence.
AND
- Have completed at least five (05) years of satisfactory service in the Primary Semi Skilled (PL-2) or Primary Non-Skilled (PL-1) service category.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy vehicles assigned by the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation.
- Transport staff, equipment, and materials as required.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in good operating condition.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and travel records.
- Comply with all traffic regulations and government transport policies.
- Carry out official transport duties efficiently and responsibly.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: Rs. 43,280 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 = Rs. 67,040.
- Initial recruitment salary: Rs. 40,834 according to government recruitment procedures.
- Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800.
- Permanent government employment.
- Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) benefits.
- Other government-approved allowances applicable to the post.
