Qualifications & Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid registration from the Sri Lanka Nursing Council (SLNC).
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Fresh graduates may also apply.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to work with a Hospital Information System (HIS) will be an added advantage.
• Compassionate, patient-focused and committed to maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and high-quality nursing care to patients.
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient conditions.
• Report changes in patient conditions to the nurse in charge and doctors.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring patient safety.
• Assist doctors during medical procedures and ensure required equipment and supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding healthcare, treatment and discharge instructions.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control guidelines and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
