Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:

External Applicants

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

• Proficiency Certificate in Drafting relevant to NVQ Level 7 issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

OR

• Proficiency Certificate in Drafting relevant to NVQ Level 6 issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institution recognized by TVEC together with at least ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in drafting within a government institution, government corporation, board, statutory institution, or reputed private sector organization.

Internal Applicants

Applicants should satisfy one of the following:

• Fulfil all qualifications required for external applicants.

OR

• Hold a Proficiency Certificate in Drafting relevant to NVQ Level 5 recognized by TVEC and have completed a satisfactory service period of five (05) years in the Management Assistant (Technical) [MA 2-2] Service Category in a drafting-related position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Produce technical drawings based on project specifications and design requirements.
• Revise and update drawings according to project modifications.
• Maintain drawing records, documentation, and technical archives.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors during project execution.
• Ensure drawings comply with national standards and Authority requirements.
• Assist with project planning and construction documentation.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify drawing accuracy and project requirements.
• Prepare digital drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Perform any other drafting duties assigned by the National Housing Development Authority.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
