Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

External Applicants

• Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in one of the following fields:
  • Planning
  • Research and Development
  • Management
  • Commerce
  • Public Administration
  • Business Administration
  • Statistics
  • Or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum one (01) year of relevant experience in the planning field after obtaining the required degree in a government institution, government corporation, board, statutory institution, or a reputed private sector organization.

Internal Applicants

Applicants should satisfy one of the following:

• Fulfil all qualifications required for external applicants.

OR

• Have completed a satisfactory service period of five (05) years in the Junior Management Services Category (JM 1-1) position relevant to the subject field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement planning strategies for housing development projects.
• Prepare project plans, development proposals, and planning reports.
• Conduct research, data analysis, and feasibility studies for housing programmes.
• Monitor project implementation and evaluate performance against strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with government agencies, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare budgets, progress reports, and planning documentation.
• Ensure compliance with national planning policies and government regulations.
• Support policy formulation and organizational planning initiatives.
• Identify risks and recommend appropriate planning solutions.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the National Housing Development Authority.
