Job Responsibilities

The Research & Development Officer will be responsible for:

• Participating in new process development and research projects
• Supporting new product and product variant development activities
• Providing product samples for testing and evaluation purposes
• Analyzing raw materials and finished products
• Assisting in commercialization activities for new products
• Identifying and resolving technical issues related to running products
• Performing analytical testing using Polymer, EVA, and other chemicals
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within R&D operations
• Collaborating with production and technical teams to improve operational efficiency

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Polymer, Chemical, or related engineering discipline from a recognized institute
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in R&D operations or Process Engineering
• Exposure to EVA, PVC, and Rubber products industry will be an added advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and process analysis skills
• Ability to understand equipment operations and identify root causes of failures
• Good interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
• Strong teamwork and commitment towards achieving targets
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
