The Job

• Stay updated on tax laws, regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and industry tax practices
• Ensure accurate tax computations including tax bases, exemptions, exclusions, and applicable tax rates
• Analyze and interpret tax notices, disputes, and regulatory matters
• Support capital planning and forecasting aligned with the bank’s long-term strategy
• Analyze impacts on Capital Adequate Ratio and other regulatory ratios for business decisions
• Ensure regulatory reporting compliance including Capital Adequacy, SLAR, LCR, RPT, and NSFR
• Oversee impairment provisions according to SLFRS 9 standards
• Analyze collective impairment methodologies involving PDs, LGDs, and EAD

The Person

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
• Membership of CASL
• Minimum 15 years of experience in taxation, impairment provisions, and CBSL reporting
• At least 5 years in progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of SLFRS 9 and Basel III guidelines
• Strong understanding of CBSL regulatory requirements
• Excellent planning, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
