Job Summary
The Relationship Officer – Elite Banking will manage a portfolio of affluent customers, strengthen client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, acquire new customers, and ensure compliance with banking regulations while delivering world-class customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 275 affluent customer relationships while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Retain and grow customer wallet share through cross-selling and upselling banking products.
- Acquire new customers and upgrade eligible clients to the High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) segment.
- Build long-term customer relationships by understanding financial needs and providing suitable solutions, including wealth management products.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Prevent operational, audit, and regulatory lapses.
- Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews while ensuring full KYC compliance.
- Deliver high-quality service standards with a strong customer-first approach.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) or Higher Diploma in Banking and Finance (HDBF) from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL), or a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Full professional qualifications in Finance, Marketing, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in front-line customer service or relationship management.
- Experience managing affluent customers in the priority banking segment is preferred.
- Good knowledge of:

- Ability to work independently under pressure and consistently achieve business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Multilingual skills will be an added advantage.
