Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Quality Management from a recognized university.

OR

• Advanced Diploma in Quality Management from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience managing the Quality Assurance Department of a large manufacturing organization.
• Strong knowledge of ISO Standards, 5S Implementation, and Quality Circles.
• Experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience in monitoring operational processes and quality systems.
• Previous experience managing a team of QA Executives and QA Assistants across multiple factories.
• Candidates aged over 35 years are preferred.
• Preference will be given to applicants residing close to Panadura.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal quality audits and ensure all quality assurance requirements are effectively addressed.
• Coordinate with certification bodies and schedule certification and surveillance audits.
• Review audit findings and identify potential quality concerns.
• Train employees on quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified quality issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their quality control procedures meet company standards.
• Analyze quality data and recommend process improvements.
• Establish and enforce policies related to ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and SEDEX standards.
• Develop, implement, and manage quality processes to ensure products meet required specifications before delivery.
• Investigate recurring product defects, quality issues, and customer complaints.
• Supervise product testing processes and quality inspections.
• Review customer and client feedback to improve product quality.
• Coordinate with the Compliance Officer to implement corrective actions arising from audit findings.
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.
