Qualifications & Experience
External Candidates
Applicants must possess any one of the following qualifications:
Option 1
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, Statistics, Commerce, Mathematics, Economics, or another relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
AND
- Postgraduate qualification (Master’s Degree) in a relevant field.
OR
- Associate Membership of a recognized Professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
AND
- Minimum 13 years of managerial-level experience in a corporation, statutory board, institution, or reputed private organization.
Option 2
- Full Membership of a recognized Professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
AND
- Minimum 13 years of managerial-level experience in a corporation, statutory board, institution, or reputed private organization.
Internal Candidates
- Possess the qualifications required for external candidates.
OR
- Completion of a minimum of three (03) years of satisfactory service in a Management Category Grade I (MM) position relevant to the subject area and successful completion of the 2nd Efficiency Bar Examination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operations related to the Agrahara Insurance Scheme.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and government policies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, government institutions, and service providers.
- Monitor performance, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage teams and provide leadership for departmental objectives.
- Prepare reports, budgets, and operational plans.
- Contribute to policy development and organizational growth initiatives.

Salary & Benefits
Salary Scale
HM 1-2 – 2025
Rs. 143,120 – 15 × 4,100 – 204,620
