Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants must possess:

• A Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Accountancy, Transport & Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Management, or another qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

AND

• A minimum of one (01) year post-qualifying experience in a relevant field after obtaining the first degree.

Internal Candidates

Applicants must possess:

• The qualifications required for external candidates.

OR

• Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a Management Assistant – Non-Technical (MAI) Grade II position relevant to the subject area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement planning and purchasing activities.
• Prepare and process procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and government regulations.
• Monitor procurement timelines and supplier performance.
• Maintain procurement records and inventory-related documentation.
• Support tender and quotation evaluation processes.
• Prepare procurement reports and administrative documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale

JM 1-1 – 2025

Rs. 72,650 – 10 × 1,360 – 18 × 2,040 – 122,970
