This role focuses on conducting risk-based IT audits, strengthening IT controls, evaluating information systems, and ensuring compliance with information security and regulatory standards within the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Knowledge of IT auditing, IT general controls, and application controls.
• Understanding of information security standards and regulatory guidelines.
• CBSL regulations knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Windows, UNIX, databases, and networking environments.
• Previous experience in IT auditing or risk management, preferably within the banking or finance sector.
• Willingness to travel to branch locations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the annual IT audit plan.
• Conduct risk-based IT audits covering systems, applications, and business processes.
• Identify weaknesses in IT controls and recommend practical improvements.
• Review IT security policies, procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management and audit committees.
• Support the Internal Audit team in achieving departmental objectives.
• Evaluate IT systems and processes to improve governance and operational efficiency.
