Job Description

The Information System Auditor will assist in executing IT audit plans, evaluating IT systems and controls, identifying process gaps, and ensuring compliance with information security standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of IT systems, and the ability to conduct risk-based audits and communicate audit findings effectively to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the annual IT audit plan
• Conduct risk-based IT audits on systems, applications, and operational processes
• Evaluate IT general controls and application controls
• Identify weaknesses in IT controls and recommend process improvements
• Review IT security policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management and audit committees
• Support the Internal Audit team in achieving departmental objectives
• Assess system security, governance, and operational effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Knowledge of IT auditing, IT general controls, and application controls
• Understanding of information security standards and regulatory guidelines
• Exposure to systems such as Windows, UNIX, databases, and networking
• Prior experience in IT auditing or risk management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within audit teams
• Willingness to travel to branch locations when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within the banking or finance sector will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of CBSL guidelines and financial industry compliance standards is preferred
• Professional certifications related to IT audit or information security will be beneficial
