Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Valid full registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) to practice as a Medical Officer.
• Previous experience in ICU, Neonatal ICU, ETU, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or High Dependency Units will be an added advantage.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work on shift duties, including night shifts.
• Medical Officers with more than one year of experience are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants should be below 55 years of age.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and continuous care to critically ill patients.
• Assist Consultants and Specialists in patient management and critical care protocols.
• Monitor and manage patients on life-support systems and advanced monitoring equipment.
• Perform and assist in emergency medical procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
