The company is currently seeking a responsible and experienced professional for the position of Hostel Facility & Housekeeping Manager to oversee staff hostel operations, maintenance coordination, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the overall cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of staff hostel facilities. The role requires strong housekeeping supervision skills, maintenance coordination abilities, and effective communication with internal departments and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor overall cleanliness and hygiene of hostel premises.
• Ensure hostel facilities remain safe, comfortable, and properly maintained at all times.
• Conduct routine inspections of dormitories, kitchens, dining areas, corridors, washrooms, balconies, staircases, and common areas.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities related to plumbing, electrical systems, drainage, appliances, and fixtures.
• Maintain inspection reports, complaint registers, inventory records, and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with HR, Administration, Security, and external service providers for facility-related services.
• Monitor waste disposal, pest control, linen handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, and emergency preparedness standards.
• Handle hostel residents’ complaints and operational issues professionally.
• Supervise housekeeping staff and other workers assigned to hostel operations.
• Prevent misuse or damage to hostel property and report incidents to management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum G.C.E. O/L qualification.
• G.C.E. A/L qualification will be considered an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in:
  • Hostel management
  • Housekeeping supervision
  • Hotel operations
  • Hospital facility management
  • Building maintenance supervision
• Good understanding of housekeeping standards and hygiene practices.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and coordinate service providers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain records, reports, and checklists accurately.
• Basic computer literacy including MS Excel, email, and WhatsApp reporting.
• Honest, disciplined, punctual, and service-oriented personality.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent maintenance-related issues.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with previous experience in hospitals, hotels, staff hostels, apartment complexes, or institutional accommodation facilities will receive special consideration.
