Job Description

The selected candidate will support kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen coordination. The role requires culinary expertise, teamwork, food costing knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.
• Support senior chefs in managing kitchen workflow and service efficiency.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely food delivery during service hours.
• Assist with purchasing, stock control, and food costing activities.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Follow food safety and restaurant operational procedures.
• Contribute creative ideas for menu preparation and kitchen improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
• Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Strong management and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of purchasing and food costing processes.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to work with a young and dynamic culinary team.
• Candidates residing in or around Colombo will be preferred.
