This senior leadership position is responsible for driving financial performance, governance, investment value creation, and strategic transformation across the Bank’s subsidiaries and associate companies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, performance management, governance oversight, investment evaluation, and group-level financial reporting while supporting strategic decision-making and long-term value creation.

Qualifications & Experience

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.

Professional Qualifications

Applicants should be an Associate Member of one of the following professional accounting bodies:

• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka)
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – UK)
• Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA – UK)
• Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Sri Lanka
• Or an equivalent internationally recognized CPA qualification

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in finance and financial management.
• At least 5 years of senior leadership experience.
• Proven experience in group structures, subsidiary oversight, financial performance management, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Experience within banking or financial services organizations is preferred.

Age Requirement

• Applicants should be 55 years of age or below as of the closing date.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the financial performance of subsidiaries and associate companies through KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
• Assess and maximize investment value by monitoring ROI, optimizing capital allocation, and evaluating growth opportunities.
• Ensure subsidiaries comply with Group policies, governance standards, and financial control frameworks.
• Lead accurate and timely consolidation of Group financial results and reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to subsidiary leadership teams, boards, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Oversee risk management activities across subsidiaries and associate companies.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and investment-related initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, analytics, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Deliver financial insights that support informed decision-making and business growth.
