Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (MEP), or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical or MEP Engineering within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of Electrical and MEP systems, including:
  • Power Distribution
  • Lighting Systems
  • HVAC Systems
  • Plumbing Systems
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Electrical and MEP drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical and MEP systems.
• Oversee Low Voltage (LV) systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, data, HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, site reports, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Identify technical issues on-site and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka Standards (SLS), local authority regulations, and project requirements.
• Complete assigned work within approved budgets and project schedules.
