The selected consultant will provide consultancy services to prepare a comprehensive Software Requirement Specification (SRS) and support the integration of existing banking software or the design and development of a middleware solution.

The organization supports rural banking services and is currently undertaking a digital transformation initiative to modernize its banking systems through software integration, centralized data management, and scalable technology solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s (Special) Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications related to Banking Software, ERP, Financial Systems, or similar technologies will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with core banking systems similar to MBwin.
• Practical experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or equivalent platforms.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying banking or rural banking software solutions.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, or specialized integration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, or other enterprise database management systems.
• Knowledge of financial data security, encryption standards, and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Experience with cloud deployment and centralized software architectures.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT consultancy for financial institutions.
• Proven experience implementing or integrating core banking software.
• Previous experience developing software solutions for local banks.
• Successful completion of at least one full banking system implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess existing banking software systems for integration.
• Prepare a comprehensive Software Requirement Specification (SRS).
• Design an effective middleware or centralized integration platform.
• Develop scalable solutions suitable for province-wide and nationwide implementation.
• Integrate banking applications including MBwin, QuickBooks, and related financial systems.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and industry standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and implementation recommendations.
• Provide training and technical support to staff and end-users where required.
• Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
