Qualifications & Experience

• Consultant/Specialist with relevant Board Certification from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), Sri Lanka.
• Registered as a Consultant/Specialist with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience as a Specialist in Live Donor Liver Transplant surgery.
• Proven experience in minimally invasive liver transplant procedures, including robotic liver transplant surgery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain strong doctor-patient relationships.
• Selected candidate must be willing to serve exclusively at Nawaloka Hospitals PLC for liver transplant surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform live donor liver transplant surgeries in accordance with international clinical standards.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Perform minimally invasive and robotic-assisted liver transplant procedures where appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the hospital’s liver transplant programme.
